Music

Music is the language of my soul. Always has been. Earliest memories is my father blasting Frank on the stereo on a Sunday morning, trying to wake up my brother and me.

The music and lyrics move me, speak to me, speak for me and ground me.

Reason for the name of my blog seems rather obvious, as it fitly describes my husband’s infidelity…tempted by the fruit of another.

My musical touchstones (in no particular order):

  1. Dave Matthews Band
  2. Aretha
  3. The Clash
  4. Gomez
  5. Bonnie Raitt
  6. Arctic Monkeys
  7. Civil Wars
  8. Led Zeppelin
  9. Sublime
  10. Pixies
  11. Ray LaMontagne
  12. Damien Rice
  13. Tom McRae
  14. Frank Sinatra
  15. Nina Simone
  16. A Fine Frenzy
  17. P!nk
  18. Catatonia
  19. Police
  20. Bush
  21. Dan Fogelberg
  22. Lucinda Williams
  23. Yeah Yeah Yeahs
  24. The Cure
  25. Adele
  26. Grace Potter
  27. Florence and the Machine
  28. Feist
  29. and a million more

I honestly have so much music, that I’ve backed up my library to more than one cloud account. Some girls spend their $ on clothes (okay, I do that, too)–I spend it on music.

I’ll post some great music here from time to time as musical dedications. Purely mood driven and selfish, but WTFN (why the f*ck not)?
